The Role
Medallia is seeking a proven B2B marketer (High Tech, Manufacturing, Telco/Media) to create and execute marketing plans that meet the market’s overall objectives. You will work with the industry sales team and build strong, trusted relationships to drive their marketing plans. You’ll be responsible for creating customer acquisition campaigns, including events, outbound campaigns, and executive programs. You will be responsible for verticalizing content created by the Digital Marketing team and global campaigns team to ensure that it has the correct vernacular for each department.  Medallia is looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and adept at developing field marketing programs to build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers in the High Tech, Manufacturing and Telco/Media industries.  You'll also regularly collaborate across the marketing organization with content, creative, product marketing, and partner marketing (and more!) to align online activity with broader campaign initiatives


  • Research, plan, manage and execute your vertical plans from end to end, including 3rd party industry conferences, Medallia-driven physical and virtual events, regional field events and City Tours.
  • Maintain direct alignment with your vertical sales leaders and sales teams in terms of all pre and post event priorities, communication, campaigns, promotion strategy and reporting.
  • Set goals and define metrics for each event including targeted lead flow and opportunities.
  • Evaluate and report on vertical event ROI and performance, determine success and determine potential future investment.
  • Collaborate on strategic sponsorships and execution at partner events with the Alliances team.
  • Research, maintain and execute events within your vertical field marketing budget.
  • Coordinate with the campaigns team on vertical campaigns and approaches to solve industry challenges.
  • Schedule and execute on consistent sales outreach/bi-weekly meetings.
  • Manage internal field and events communication between sales and marketing.
  • Be an ambassador of Medallia to customers, prospects, colleagues and partners.
  • Build trusting relationships, credibility, and use strong communication and influence skills to partner effectively with stakeholders to improve decision-making and business outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience successfully managing field marketing programs in a B2B environment Demonstrated experience partnering with sales and senior business executives internally as well as with customers/prospects to deliver results.1+ years of experience orchestrating cross-functional projects with high energy, trustworthy, creative, and “get it done” mentality.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Salesforce proficiency with office productivity applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Google Apps, Tableau)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or applicable work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Salesforce Marketo and Splash
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is able to multitask, prioritize projects and communicate priorities to partners
  • Strong project management, time management, and execution skills
  • Embodies strong organizational skills, ability to anticipate the needs of sales
  • Ability to maintain an optimistic, approachable, and self-starter attitude
  • Demonstrates creative spark as expressed in ideas for messaging, creative design, etc.
  • Experience marketing technology specifically to the High Tech, Telco or Manufacturing industries
  • MBA
