The Team

The Enterprise Applications & Analytics team is part of corporate IT and is responsible for supporting, developing, managing and enhancing the set of enterprise applications which make up the platform that delivers Medallia's business processes. The group focuses on engagement with the lines of business to evolve and scale solutions to best fit Medallia's business needs. In addition, the group focuses on design, development and deployment of an enterprise decision support system to provide enhanced reporting and analytics capabilities.

The Role

This lead subject matter expert (SME) will partner with the line of business and applications functional team to provide thought leadership and program management to design, develop and deploy Business Intelligence/Reporting solutions. As the Solution Architect, BI Systems, they will utilize creativity and innovation to develop new approaches for Reporting, Dashboards, Decision Support and overall solution architecture to improve current BI solutions and expand into new fields in support of the company strategy.

The ideal candidate takes pride in being a change management evangelist that values the importance of documenting data management best practices, identifying areas for data efficiencies and designing solutions, and training junior analysts / business analysts. They will also bring a quality first mindset and are a true team player with unwavering integrity, who can easily transition between being a strategic advisor and being hands-on with delivering solutions.

Responsibilities

Leverage best practices ETL framework to provide solution that meets business requirements
Design and develop reporting platforms including - Data modeling, ETL, Interfaces
Collaborate and build effective working relationships across the organization with emphasis on stakeholder management
Intelligently interpret business needs to delineate required reporting & analytics requirements for data model creation across multiple business functions
Design and manage data models and platform to enable efficient data consolidation, validation and visualization
Manage data cleansing / transformation
Present work with confidence and persuasion and handle questions effectively from both technical and business stakeholders
BI Systems administration responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of experience designing and implementing medium to large-scale BI solutions for cloud based applications including systems administration
3+ years of Data modeling experience
3+ years of programming experience around database handling (SQL)
Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Qualifications

Data modeling experience for ERP and/or CRM related data
Experience using and with platform management for Snowflake and Tableau
Python experience
Program / Project management expertise - consistently delivering projects and tasks on time and to specification
Strong understanding and demonstration of the application of data governance principles
