The role:

  • We are looking for motivated software engineers to join our Platform backend team in Argentina.
  • As a Software Engineer on our Data Analytics team, you will be responsible for architecting and developing the building blocks of the next generation of products at Medallia.
  • You will work in a distributed team with members bringing different cultural takes.
  • You will solve challenging technical problems, own your products end-to-end and help take our SaaS platform to the next level.

  • You will collaborate with Product and Design/UX teams to build innovative new features and products for the Customer Experience space.

The work:

  • Ship great software that is scalable and robust and then keep it humming.
  • Design, implement and drive the technical roadmap and product implementation; help the team prioritize and plan pragmatically.
  • Partner closely with dependent teams across engineering to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Identify gaps in knowledge, tools, and process and work with your manager & PM to address those.
  • Incorporate the best development practices and habits and help build tooling to enforce the same.
  • Work in small teams with like minded engineers in an agile environment with daily standups, demo days, code reviews and research spikes.
  • Become a go-to person for one or several components in the whole system.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and impact teams through tech talks and presentations.
  • Be a voice of Medallia Engineering in Argentina’s tech scene thru hosting and participating in meetups.

Minimum qualifications:

  • +2 years of experience developing enterprise grade software.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Good communication skills, strong interpersonal relationship, team player.
  • Fast learner, hands-on approach, and goal-oriented.
  • Experience building distributed systems/enterprise systems on a modern stack.
  • Experience building and maintaining software services that will be used by other teams or exposed with external APIs.
  • Demonstrate strong software engineering fundamentals.
  • Bring an ownership mindset with detail and quality orientation.
  • Strong experience with code quality best practices and implementing testing architectures and modularization on large codebases.
  • Have performed software development in a production environment using a mainstream object-oriented programming language (Java, Java Libraries, Java Frameworks preferred)
  • Relational DB’s such as PostgreSQL.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Multi-threaded programming.
  • CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
  • Experience building high performance, well tested applications.
  • Strong practitioner of best practices.
  • Strong customer focus, ownership, and drive.
  • Deep experience with agile software development process.
  • Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
