We are a Silicon Valley-based company aiming to expand our pre-sales support for Inside Sales and the Sales Ecosystem.

The Role

  • As the RFP Manager for EMEA you will:
  • Create, develop, and grow a European focused Center of Excellence for proposal management that scales repeatable processes to properly identify, qualify, compose, and submit complex RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
  • Work directly with the Medallia EMEA Sector sales and pre-sales teams to create a best-in-class proposal management function
  • Strategize with all internal teams, such as Sales, Marketing, Product Marketing, Managed Services, Tech Support, Legal, etc. to build and execute on programs
  • Manage, write, and edit winning proposals, pitch decks, and case studies for complex, competitive bids that represent million-dollar opportunities
  • Learn and adapt with the market by tracking/reporting on win/loss metrics, trend data (for product and capability enhancements), and competitive offerings
  • Oversee RFP process from inception to delivery working cross-collaboratively with clients/customers, field sales, and solutions consultants (sales engineers) 
  • Ensure response materials are formatted to all corporate branding and marketing guidelines
  • Work cross collaboratively with groups like Marketing and Product Engineering to keep RFP response libraries current with changes in product functionality

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proposal writing for competitive bids
  • 3+ years of experience in Enterprise software/SaaS
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience working within high-growth companies (20%+ growth year over year) 
  • History of continuously innovating on proposal development processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite / Google Environment / Adobe Pro
  • Experience working with RFP Software such as RFPIO / Knowledge Base Management Tools
  • Familiarity with online e-sourcing portals such as Ariba, Scout, Emptoris a plus
  • Full business proficiency in English and one of the following: French, German, Italian, or Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical background, such as BS in a technical major
  • Proposal management experience at enterprise software/SaaS companies
  • Evidence of ability to work on a diverse, high performing team and passion for entrepreneurial environments
  • Experience at companies that grew from $100MM to $1B
  • Familiarity and/or membership with APMP RFP methodologies
