We are looking for a PR and communications Director with a passion for media relations and an insatiable curiosity in technology and business, social media, and digital media strategy. This person will work closely with our CMO to champion Medallia and reach the diverse audiences inclusive of press, analysts, and prospects. Key responsibilities include:
Manage PR and direct media and analyst relations, social media and digital media (paid earned and owned) for North America in close conjunction with the marketing and talent teams.
Demonstrate very strong media relationships that can translate into coverage.
Help foster creativity amongst team members, and brainstorm new ideas effectively.
Define and land coverage in key vehicles for prospects and investors with ingenious pitches and angles.
Partner closely with sales to articulate the value prop of Medallia using their customer success stories and secure press in top verticals (retail, travel and hospitality, public sector, insurance and fiserv).
Deliver regular updates to internal stakeholders and partners on insights gathered through regular monitoring and measurement of the local enviroment.

- Strong PR and marketing fundamentals.
- Strong track record of delivering in previous positions
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in previous PR and marketing roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading a PR team for a technology or software firm
- Superior verbal and written communication skills and presentation ability.
- Must be able to demonstrate a strong body of work.
- Ability to learn quickly, synthesize and teach back to the company, customers and larger social media community.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, especially strong attention to details
- BS in Business or MBA
