The Role
Medallia is seeking a detail oriented Revenue Operations Analyst to join our growing Finance Team. This role will report into the Senior Manager of Order Management & Collections and this new member will have the opportunity to make company-wide impact through implementing billing best practices and resolving customer balances for payment to ensure we hit our cash flow targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. 

Please note that this position can be based in San Mateo, San Francisco or Pleasanton, CA, reporting directly to the Senior Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accounts receivable collections activity for our world-wide based customers
  • Work directly with customers and partners to resolve outstanding invoice issues and residual balances, maximizing recoveries and minimizing write-offs
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Deal Desk, Operations, Revenue Accounting and Legal teams to research and resolve customer inquiries and/or disputes
  • Manage new customer on-boarding process, including credit risk review, provide supporting documents to customer and customer portal registration
  • Review Sales related agreements to set up the proper Sales order consistently with company policies
  • Execute on the entire post-sale billing process, including generating invoices and credit memos, tracking customer PO, follow-up on late invoice, and customer portal invoice submission
  • Contribute to efforts to enhance policies and procedures that streamline credit and revenue operations processes
  • Assist with the audit requests and reviews as needed
  • Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management

About You

  • Detail oriented, organized, flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly with willingness to meet business critical deadlines
  • Consistent with following up with both customers and internal team
  • Team player and self-starter

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of B2B collections experience
  • 1+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of overall revenue operations experience including order processing/billing, collections and revenue recognition
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition concepts
  • Netsuite experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with people. Superior interpersonal skills; written and verbal are essential.
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
