Senior Director, Cloud Security

At Medallia, the Security team increases Medallia’s long-term value by building enterprise-grade, best-in-class security programs to protect our customer and company assets. We are passionate about security, utilizing the best technology and processes with our world class security team. We work closely with all the organizations within Medallia, from engineering and IT to professional services, people and culture, legal, and finance, to build security throughout the organization. We work with modern software and infrastructure technology across private and public clouds, so we get to evaluate, build, buy, and implement security tools and technology to support all our platforms at scale. Our philosophy is to “shift left” and build security into everything we do at Medallia.
We are looking for a Senior Director of Cloud Security that shares our passion for security who will lead our Security Operations and Security Incident Response, Product security, Corporate security, Red Team Activities, Vulnerability Management, and Technical Security Training and Awareness.

The Role

Develop and implement a security strategy for a high-paced, high-growth company across multiple hosting platforms and technology stacks Lead, hire, and coach a 24x7 global teams in Security Operations, Product Security, Red Team, and Program Management. Build relationships and collaborate with leaders in all organizations to develop security strategies relevant to each department including Engineering, Professional Services, IT, Legal and Privacy, Finance, SalesLead Security Incident Response Team (SIRT)Evaluate, select, implement tools and services for SDLC Security, Monitoring and Operations, and Security Automation. Manage a budget for security technology tools and services

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10-15 years experience in security including 5+ years in a leadership position.
  • Strong technology background
  •  Prior experience responding to security issues or challenges, such as: threat hunting, intrusion detection, signals intelligence, incident response, forensics and security architecture, and infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven success implementing and operating security tools such as SIEMs, monitoring tools, vulnerability management tools. 
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities, ability to lead investigations, communicate to executives and customers
