Senior Fullstack Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Medallia, you will be joining our Crowdicity team, who is responsible to rebuild (and scale) Medallia’s hottest acquisition to date -- a platform for gathering ideas for our customer’s challenges and turning them into actionable items. 
You’ll help modernize this robust application and lead the charge on integrating Crowdicity into Medallia. 
You’ll work with our product team to discover new business opportunities in the employee experience space.

  • Work closely with Product and Design teams to design and implement complex user interfaces and user-facing features for the next generation Employee Experience 360 product.
  • Develop new user-facing features and customer-driven enhancements to Employee Experience 360.
  • Design and build efficient APIs with the latest technologies like GraphQL and Apollo.
  • Create fast, easy to use solutions that can be implemented quickly and seamlessly to support diverse clients.
  • Participate in a thriving Engineering community, helping shape mid/long-term technical roadmap and architecture patterns for the global Engineering organization.
  • Support a team of junior to mid-level engineers through mentorship and technical leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in CS, Engineering, or a related technical field.  In lieu, relevant equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience building full-stack apps. Our enterprise applications are built in React, with modern libraries like Apollo, GraphQL, Typescript, and JEST.
  • Proven proficiency in Javascript - functional programming, promises, closures.
  • Experience with server OOP languages like PHP, Java, .Net, and Python.
  • Experience building microservices using Node, preferably supporting GraphQL.
  • Experience writing SQL queries.
  • Previous experience with agile processes, inclusive of ability to work in fast-paced and distributed teams.Experience mentoring and leading other engineers (and enjoys it).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in CS, Engineering, or any other advanced degree.
  • Experience with: ES6/7, NodeJS, GraphQL, Docker, PHP, CSS-in-JS techniques.
  • Bring an ownership mindset with quality orientation and DevOps experience.
  • PostgreSQL experience.
  • Demonstrate strong software engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience mentoring and leading other engineers (and enjoys it).
